We pride ourselves on not scraping or ripping data from other websites. All of the data on this site is mostly generated internally by our equipment. External data is either paid-for through a premium service, or directly aggregated from NOAA public domain servers. You will never find data from someone else's website here. As evidenced, it is a practice that we frown upon and strongly discourage through copyright protection and aggressive pursuit of offenders.
Site Navigation
The site is laid-out as simple as possible with navigation links at the top, and to the left. There is very little else as the intended focus is the data itself. If any of the maps appear outside of their window, simply resize your browser's width so that it fits nicely.
The Equipment
The equipment consists of the following components:
- Davis Wireless Vantage Pro 2 with two points of connectivity. The data on this site is pulled from the VP2 through a Weather Envoy and connected into the server. The software package which aggregates the data is Davis WeatherLink.
- Boltek lightning detector operating locally and sending feeds to the StrikeStar network.
